Throughout the years, Josh Richards has made a name for himself as one of the most talented and versatile actors on stage and screen. He has been a featured performer in over fifty productions all across America, with an impressive list of credits including: “Les Misérables” and “Mary Poppins.” 

Within three short years, josh richards singing was able to land more than thirty national TV commercials. He has also climbed the highest peak in Australia. But, one of his favorite things to do is go up on a high ledge or wall and just lie back to enjoy the view and his own company.

3. Josh has trained in Krav Maga, a form of self-defense that is known for being one of the most effective methods for fighting against an assailant. He was trained by a former special forces operator and always feels safer when he knows that he can defend himself if necessary.

4. Despite being exceptionally talented as an actor, Josh does not consider himself to be very good at imitating others or memorizing lines for roles. He finds it far more valuable to focus on developing his own creative skills and finding opportunities for new creative projects.

5. Josh does not come from a big family. Growing up, his mother would often leave him to go back to school leaving him at home with a babysitter when he was young. He says that this taught him the value of being a responsible adult early on in life.

Although Josh loves to cook, he never had the opportunity to learn how as he grew up in boarding school and went off for summers with his parents until high school when he got home for one week every couple months. He spent much of his time daydreaming about what he would cook. Now that he has the opportunity to cook, he tries to make up for it by cooking as often as possible for friends and family. While many actors stay away from performing on stage, Josh feels that musical theater is at the center of what acting is all about, and without it acting can come across as false or fake. He’s performed in over a dozen stage productions, including “The Rocky Horror Show.” He also has a band called Josh Richards and the Broken Ricks, which covers various rock songs.

8. It might surprise you to learn Josh’s favorite color is red. Not pink, but red. It’s his favorite because it is strong and energetic and full of life. He feels that wearing a little bit of red on himself can instantly brighten up a dull day.

9. One thing you may not know about Josh is his tendency to be late for things even though he doesn’t try to be late, he still shows up late quite often with very little explanation as to why.

10. As an actor, Josh has been in some amazing films! His work includes: “The Prestige” and “Wicked. He also did a cameo role as himself in the film “Friends With Benefits,” starring Matt and Criss, looking very young and cute.

11. Before he was on Broadway, Josh had an IMDB (Internet Movie DataBase) page that was dedicated to him! One of his most memorable roles to date was as the voice of “Punch” in the Disney film “The Wild.”

He also feels that the second day of Christmas is his favorite holiday because it honors the birth of Christ and brings us all together.

13. Josh got his start in show business when he was just three years old! His mom would dress him up as a monkey for Halloween so he could go trick-or-treating with her on Halloween night when she’d go out herself. He started working at an early age for family videos, snow cones, and doing magic tricks for people who came into the store where she worked when she was still pregnant with him at home.
