7 Incredible Physics Products You’ll Wish You Discovered Sooner

Discover the universe using these 9 incredible physics products you’ll wish you discovered sooner. From laser lenses to virtual labs, these tools can teach you about the newest physics discoveries in space, chemistry, or Earth sciences. For inventors and scientists alike, Physics is an indispensable area of knowledge that is always expanding its horizons. What happens when a particle of matter meets its corresponding antiparticle of antimatter? With these new gadgets and experiments, it has never been easier to explore the mysteries of our universe in a hands-on way.

1. Laser Gadgets –

Laser Gadgets are fun and extremely useful for a variety of reasons. A laser pointer is the most basic, essential laser gadget you can obtain. It’s rather cheap, with the low end ranging from $3-$30, depending on the features of the laser pointer (how bright it is, how long will it last, etc). However, this incredibly cheap gadget can already be used in a variety of situations. Not only can you use it to get a class’s attention easily by projecting light into their eyes from across a dark room during a lecture, but it also has many other practical uses. Be it for home or business, you can use a laser pointer to highlight important details in a report, flash up codes on equipment, or even safety-conscious people in the workforce can use it as an eye protection device.

Two models to be particularly wary of are the Nitehawk LPM5 and the Streamlight Strion. Both models range from $30-$50 in price with their power and functions varying between them. The Nitehawk LPM5 is a high-powered model that lasts for about 6 hours and is rather hard to aim accurately.

2. The Eagle Nebula –

For a truly immersive and inspiring experience, you can now buy a replica of the Eagle Nebula created in 3D for about $150. The Eagle Nebula is one of the most photographed nebulae in space due to its genuinely awe-inspiring appearance, which is why it has been chosen as the model to be replicated into these special spheres.

3. Physics Robotics –

Physics robotics is really an area that is growing in usefulness and size each year with applications ranging from science education to entertainment. One of the more popular and interactive robotics kits on the market is the Arduino Robot, which is a kit that comes with all of the parts needed to build a small robot. However, instead of just providing pre-fabricated parts and instructions, Arduino provides an open-source software platform for users to program and control their robots. This allows you to build robots with unique personalities that react to their environments and you can even build your own robot from scratch. The cheapest kit available is $79 while an assembled version costs $149.

4. Projection Microscopes –

Microscopy has gotten a whole lot easier these days by projecting images onto any surface or into the air in three dimensions. One model, the 3D Projection Microscope, is an incredibly budget-friendly microscope with a built-in projector that displays onto a user’s surface of choice. However, this microscope also has a couple lenses included that give you more options for magnification and surface projection. For $99, you can get the basic kit while upgrading to higher quality lenses costs another $75. The microscope is easy to use and even comes with a special software program to help you easily take pictures and analyze your samples.

5. Physics Resources –

There are many books and online resources that can help you learn about physics wherever you are. Two online resources that have been particularly useful for physics students are Khan Academy and YouTube EDU (both free). Khan Academy is a set of ten thousand videos that you can view for free, while YouTube EDU is YouTube’s official channel for college and university educators. They have been greatly helpful in helping me learn all the fundamental principles of physics as well as current research topics.

6. MRI Projector –

One fun way to study physics is to use an MRI scanner and projector framework to view images of your skull on a TV or computer monitor. The premise is simple; take a picture of the inside of your head, slap together some more metal gears, and turn it into a device that projects the image onto whatever surface you would like to. The device costs about $1,200, which is rather pricey, but the 3D images it creates are quite incredible. However, this product is also a great example of how science and technology are connected in the modern world. While it was originally invented for science purposes, now it can be used to create aesthetic art pieces such as a digital bust of your face.

7. Chemical Reactions Software –

With all of the devices that you can use to conduct basic chemistry experiments at home, there isn’t much in terms of software out there that can help you simulate real-world chemistry reactions or understand their outcomes. Chem4Kids is a software that allows you to simulate these reactions, learn about their end results, and even set up your own custom labs. If you want to get into chemical engineering or study chemistry in college, you can use this software to practice the principles that you will be learning firsthand in a classroom setting.

Conclusion:

The best part about all of these new gadgets is that they can all be put to practical use. If you want to work in business or engineering, you can use them as visual aids for presentations or in-class lectures. If you are studying science in college, you can use them for research and discovering new properties of the natural world. As technology continues to advance, the opportunities to learn about physics are endless and now more than ever, it has never been easier for amateurs and professionals alike to study physics and the underlying principles of nature.
