8 Brilliant Ways To Use SPORTS

Didn’t realize you could use sports for anything else? We’re sorry to break it to you, but you better think again. Here are eight brilliant ways to use sports like paw patrol all-star pups!; pups save sports day that were never mentioned in your high school phys-ed class.

Some people get their kicks out of playing sports. But did you know that the same sport, such as soccer or baseball, can be used for a variety of other purposes?

Our editors selected 25 really cool and obscure ways to use sports that you should check out tonight. Be sure to try each one out with a partner or at least an acquaintance. Who knows, maybe someone you meet at the party will be interested in playing with you again later on!

1. Use hockey sticks as coat racks

Hockey sticks are great for holding up your coats and jackets. And you can even use the pucks for decoration! They add a touch of whimsy to any room, and make it feel more like an ice rink. Place your stuff on top of the blade and voilà – your coats are suspended in midair! You can even experiment by hanging them from the bottom of the handle or from different places around the fence.

2. Use a hockey puck as a stress ball

Stress is a serious issue today. You can’t simply just release the pressure by punching a wall or table, but with a small hockey puck you can easily let go of your anger and frustration. Looking for stress relief? Try flicking it against a hard surface, then squeeze it between your fingers and relax. Your muscles will thank you.

3. Learn the tongue

This technique is only useful for either an offensive or defensive player during the game, but it lets you talk to your opponent without having to actually say something aloud. Great for subtle insults that won’t be heard!

4. Commit random acts of mayhem on the road

What happens when you get stuck on the side of the road with nothing else to do? You can entertain yourself by playing a number of sports games using items lying around in your car. The car will not be harmed in the process, so you don’t need to worry about crashing it. There are lots of options: thumb tennis, baseball cards against the window, basketball against the door jam, golf against the mirror and so forth.

5. Play keep away with a ball

The most underrated and accident-prone sport of all time, this requires you to be very vigilant. The player with the ball won’t be able to lock it up in a safe. The other players must be willing to spend some serious time and effort to corral the ball and keep it from landing inside someone’s car or house. It’s very hard for one person to catch all the way up high, but try tossing it up and having your partner catch it . . . if he or she can! This also works with a Frisbee or a beach ball.

6. Use duct tape to form an obstacle course

Duct tape is the universal adhesive, so it’s already a perfect tool for any sports-related activity. Let your imagination run wild when you’re making the course and you can make whatever kinds of obstacles you want! Use your imagination. Have the kids spread strips of duct tape on the floor to make a giant obstacle course that they can race in. You can also use it as a landing strip, golf putting green and even as a canvas for artistic endeavors.

7. Dance between two goalposts

This is something kids do at sporting events all over the world. Just dance around twirling in front of your opponent or have your partner play goalie and try to keep you out of the net! Also called “dancing the polka,” this is best done with headphones playing upbeat music in order to drown out your annoying moves (e.g., hopping the wrong way).

8. Use baseball bats as flower pots

This technique is for the flower pot version only, not for using it as a bat. If you can hit a baseball with your bat, do it! You can also use regular flower pots and improvise by having one person swing their pot at the other player’s head. If you don’t have a garden and want to grow something, then use a bat as a stylish planter. Just make sure your plant gets plenty of light (or moonlight) and remember that every plant has different needs, so be sure to research before you buy.

Conclusion:

We love sports, and we know you do too. There’s one important lesson to be learned from this article, though. Sports is about having fun and playing with friends, so if you’re feeling left out because your friends are into other things, then use sports to get in on the action!

We hope that one day soon everyone will play sports with their friends and family members as much as they like. In the meantime, keep spare time free by playing some more of these games instead of sitting around doing nothing.
