Advertising is typically a paid element of marketing, and it can be of many forms like print ads, advertorials, billboards, broadcast ads on radio and television, and digital ads online. Advertising is an important element of promotion. As it not only assist in promoting the product but also affects other variables of the marketing mix. Advertising is a pervasive method of marketing. Advertising helps in communicating a product’s intended value. Advertising is a long term process and can involve hours of research to an effective plan.

Advertising agencies – These agencies are the service provider who manages all the functions of an advertising campaign. The function of performance advertising companies depends on creating finished ads, hiring outside contractors to finish works. The creative team of advertising agency work closely with the account team, media buying, production, and the creative director to produce the ads, whatever form they may take. 

There are different types of advertising agencies which can be explained as below-

  1. Agency of digital advertising- Digital advertising agency bring a visual idea and copywriting together with innovation and present-day advertising procedure. A digital agency helps in engaging business with specific target audiences. The various services provided by these agencies are mobile and web app design and development, SEO and SEM, brand strategy and design, social media strategy, and online advertising.  These agencies provide a performance-based advertisingsolutionto the client-facing the problem of promoting its product and services.
  2. Traditional advertising agency- Traditional advertising agency involves traditional media like TV, billboards, radio, and magazines. These agencies involve artists, writers, media, analysts, researchers, and other people with specific skills.
  3. Media buying agency-Media buying agency is an agency working to get the best advertising space for the least money. The media buyer links the ad to the intended audience in order to make the ad effective.
  4. Agency of the public relation-The main purpose of this agency is to serve client goals. The content is basically in the form of news articles, blogs, press releases, announcements, etc. These agencies maintain a healthy relationship with the media and take follow back and build and sustain the relationship for future work.
  5. In- house advertisement agencies – in house advertising agency means that the marketing activities of the company are handled by employees of the company. These agencies help to build the brand for the small and medium-sized enterprises.
  6. Social media agency-a social media marketing agency will be specialized only in social media and might not provide any of the other services including digital marketing. These types of agencies help to advertise your product or services on different platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Conclusion- These are some of the classifications which help to understand the concept of advertisement agency in a detailed manner. Mostly big companies outsource their task to different agencies. Its often said that advertising is a costly tactic, which helps the company to focus on core competencies and increase the sales of the company in a better and efficient manner. Advertisement not only renders quality but also creates an opportunity to work with creative expert personnel, build a relationship, and grow your business together.
