Five Latest Developments In Cocktails

Cocktails are all the rage these days, and with good reason — they’re fantastic! From old classics like the Mai Tai or Tom Collins to new twists on a classic like the Clayton Fizz, it’s hard not to enjoy a well-made cocktail. Nuitcap cocktail is one such concoction; with a base of rum and a hint of lime juice, this drink is a solid, easy to make cocktail. There are a wide range of cocktails out there, each with their own unique appeal. A few of the most common types are the Aviation, Martini, and the Manhattan. If you’re looking to mix up your cocktail rotation a bit but aren’t sure about where to start, consider any one of these classic drinks.

The Manhattan is a cocktail made up of whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters. It is common to see it garnished with an olive and a maraschino cherry. The original Manhattan was created back in 1874 at the Manhattan Club in New York City and was made with equal parts sweet vermouth and bourbon whiskey. Made by stirring the three ingredients together with ice, it’s important to use good quality ingredients when making this recipe to get the full effect of the drink. This drink is great for those looking to spend less time making cocktails, but still want something that packs a punch!

Five Latest Developments In Cocktails :

1. Drink Like A Fish

Next time you go out to eat, try having a seafood themed meal, it’s just about all you need for a nice night of drinking. Seafood and alcohol share many similar chemicals such as amino acids, purines, and carbohydrates. The main active ingredient in alcoholic drinks is ethanol which is found in some fish as well.

In addition to these compounds there are also manganese and silicon in both seafood and alcohol. These two minerals help prevent the toxic effects of heavy drinking while also improving the liver’s ability to absorb vitamins such as vitamin B12. As with most things moderation is key but if you love seafood then make sure to order some when out on the town or at home with the family.

2. Water

Dieters often have a hard time cutting down their alcohol intake because they feel like drinking is a way to calm their nerves and relax. However, the number one factor that causes people to drink more is the water they drink in their cocktails. Water competes with alcohol for absorption in the stomach and across the small intestines and can keep you from getting drunk quicker.

In addition, beer contains about 30 percent alcohol by volume while hard liquor contains about 40 percent. Depending on how much you plan on drinking, this could make all of the difference in cutting out binge drinking and staying sober for longer periods of time before swinging over to another beverage or food option.

3. Nutritionists

Nutritionists and food scientists are now saying that it’s best to cut out the booze completely if you want to get the most nutrients from your food. Alcohol can reduce protein levels in the body and can cause you to eat more calories than you would in a normal meal.

It is recommended that one drink a night will not hurt your diet or eating habits, but try and avoid any drinking that leads to heavier drinking such as shots of hard liquor as these often lead to a very long night of drinking and spending more on food consumption than you should.

4. Drinks on the East Coast

The East Coast has a different relationship with drinking than the rest of the country. In Pennsylvania, it is illegal to drink anything other than beer, wine, or spirits from noon to 10 pm. This is due to our town being home to many breweries and distilleries in addition to a rising number of bars and taverns here. In fact, when it comes to drinking in general, Philadelphia reigns as one of the most notable heavy-drinking capitals in the entire country with New Yorkers being second on this list.

5. Long Island Iced Tea

Long Island Iced Tea is an ice-cold version of the traditional Long Island Iced tea made in New York by placing a shot of vodka in a glass filled with ice, orange juice, and one or two shots of rum and topped with sugar syrup. The end product resembles a glass full of fizzy orange juice but with slightly more alcohol content than the drink usually has. It’s been a staple at parties on the East Coast for years now but has become a bit more popular than many people thought it would be.
