Mass media addiction in the US

Mass media addiction is one of the biggest problems facing America in the 21st century. We now have a problem of children not only using social media inspirational guru gobind singh ji quotes in punjabi and cell phones but also watching commercials on a daily basis. So many families are struggling with this issue that they can no longer make ends meet, leading to many consequences such as divorce, drug use, mental health issues and family violence. If you’re looking for some insight into how to help your child stay safe online without giving them every last thing they want then read on!

1. First off, you need to make sure you have rules in place regarding the use of technology. This is a great way to empower your child because it will give them a sense of independence and allow them to make decisions for themselves. For example, if you’re going out and want your child to behave you can say something like this,” We’re going out as a family so please be on your best behavior.”

2. The fact is if someone isn’t monitoring their child’s use of technology then eventually someone at school or the public library will! Some parents don’t know that the school that their children go to has access to their social networking accounts in case their kid needs help and people are sending them messages that they shouldn’t be reading.

3. This leads me to my next point… The fact is you cannot trust the people around your child to keep them safe and you have to do it yourself! You can log onto your child’s social networking account, like their profile and see what they have posted. You can also do the same on their phones, tablets and other devices.

4. Make sure you allow your child to use social networking sites but don’t let them become addicted to it. This way they will understand that even though they are online there are still important things in life that need their attention, especially if a friend requests something like a ride or money for lunch or for school supplies or clothes.

5. We have to remember that children are very impressionable and they can become addicted much easier than adults. In addition, we should take into consideration the fact that children still like to get their way and they want to express themselves and often they will act out in a cruel manner or participate in bullying or hate speech.

6. I also suggest that you do not allow your child to beg for money through social networking sites because this is a form of manipulation. This can lead to very serious problems later on down the road when your child wants something more expensive just because he cried about it on social media.

7. Social media is a great tool for social education. I use it all the time to keep informed about what is happening in our country and around the world, especially with wars and politics. I also use it to interact with friends or family members as well as to keep up with my children’s lives. We even make sure that they are taught how to use social networking in school so that they will understand what it’s like when they go off to college, especially since many of them will be living on their own for the first time.

8. My final suggestion is that you join a parent’s group or network anywhere you can find one. This will allow you to talk to other parents who are in your same shoes and you can share your experiences with them. We all know that when we are feeling frustrated, angry or afraid it’s nice to have somebody there just to listen.

9. One final thing I would like to mention is that for some kids having a cell phone can be a lifeline if there is an emergency at home or if they feel like the world is closing in on them. Technology should still be used with caution!

10. I know that all of these suggestions will give you a lot to think about and I hope they will be helpful. If you’re looking for more in depth information on parenting then we recommend that you check out this book written by Neil Cohen. It’s called “Reality Check” and it gives an in depth look at how technology is affecting our children in the USA today.
