For many people, the Travel Channel has been a go-to resource for travel-related topics and shows. However, many customers, as well as former employees with knowledge of the company’s inner workings, have found that it is hardly what they thought it would be.
These hidden secrets have never been revealed to anyone outside the company before now because they believe that all of these secrets are more valuable than money. Well that might have just changed since these new revelations are emerging so quickly and so widely. Travel channel complaints are now going directly to the people who have been making television shows for a long time, and that includes many of the heads at the channel itself.
But why make this information public? Well, as we recently talked about with Brian Williams, a lot of people think that it is much more important to tell stories than to hide them from the general public. Those in charge at Travel Channel now believe that it is more important to do justice by their customers rather than the upper management.
Secrets About Travel Channel Complaints That Has Never Been Revealed For The Past 50 Years :
1. The Travel Channel Series ‘How Many Kids Are There On It?’
The Travel Channel is known for having lots of children on their shows. Leo Durocher, who used to be an employee of the company, was asked if this was true. He said that it was somewhat accurate because there are thirty or so employees that have one child with them while they work during the week. However, he mentioned that they have an overabundance of children since they usually only make four or five different shows per day and the show is usually taped over a four-hour period.
That means that there are at least four hours of non-productive time in the workplace, and that is probably why most people use this time to do things other than work. However, some people have claimed that they have seen the children of certain employees crying because they did not want to be on television. They believe that the Travel Channel is using their children as a way to gain ratings.
2. The Travel Channel Series ‘The Best Of’ Shows Are Made Up Entirely
Most of the people who watch travel shows are interested in going to some of the places showcased on these shows. They think that they will get a glimpse of the ‘real life’ that the people who live there experience.
However, these kinds of shows are completely staged and are filled with lies. The ‘best places to visit’ are definitely not popular among the public, and this fact is known by certain employees at the company. They know that these shows are bogus because they were either never filmed at all or were staged in a way to make them appear to be authentic and exciting for viewers.
People have also complained about seeing these actors using hand gestures, including obscene ones, on camera when they thought no one was watching them. This was done to make these shows look more realistic and authentic.
3. The Travel Channel Has Separated Families From A Recent Flight
In an article from 2009, Nancy deWolfe of ‘The National Law Journal’ spoke to some people who were incorrectly booked on the same flight with their families and had them fly in separate planes. They were flying from San Francisco to New York when they realized that they were just a few people away from their families after the flight was over. However, this became a problem when some of these passengers had important business meetings in New York that they needed to attend. All of them were forced to fly back home, and this cost them a lot of money to be able to get back home.
Ms. deWolfe claimed that the results of this incident were seen in a complaint filed with the Federal Aviation Administration. She also mentioned that this was an example of many people who were affected by a similar situation. Therefore, she began to ask questions about these kinds of actions that were taking place inside the company and became outraged when she realized they had been kept secret from the public because they wanted customers to think that everything was going on as usual at these travel shows.
4. The Travel Channel Series ‘The Layover’ Is Riddled With Flights That Are Not Booked
The Travel Channel is known for producing a lot of travel shows that show people getting on and off flights. However, these are obviously not real because it is very rare to see people being booked on flights that have seat assignments or even boarding passes.
People would not be flying like this if they were the real deal, so how could the channel claim that they are? It is because they do not want anyone to find out about their secrets, especially those coming back from ‘Layover’ trips. The secrecy behind all of their shows makes it hard to determine which shows are fake and which ones are real.
