When it comes to movies, songs, and books there are some distinct differences in the way men and women enjoy themselves. Men like action packed movies with great effects and a round-up of explosions for good measure like michelle lynn lieberman. Women like romantic comedies or dramas that remind them of their days long past when they were mooning over boys from their high school class. Men prefer bluegrass music or hard rock while women listen to smooth jazz or pop mixes of popular classics from decades past. As for what people read, men tend to dominate in the field of sci-fi, fantasy, thrillers or horror whereas romance novels are king amongst women much more than any other genre combined.
Men tend to be less emotional than women and that’s a big reason why they are usually more interested in things like sports, hard hitting action movies, sci-fi and crime thrillers. These are all things that don’t require any emotional intelligence whatsoever, so men probably take it as a compliment when others tell them that their taste in entertainment is “grounded.” Women on the other hand are generally more emotional than men and that means when they like something it tends to mean a whole lot more.
Make no mistake about it, men get emotional. They just don’t let those emotions take over their bodies the way women do. That’s the reason why you never see a man crying during a film or television show. A woman might be full-out sobbing during the death scene of her favorite character, but men would rather stay cool and collected and deal with their emotions privately than have them completely overtake them in public.
Men like challenges regardless of what they’re doing or how they’re doing it. Whether they’re playing golf or chess, lifting weights at the gym or climbing mountains, men like a good competitor to test themselves against. Women on the other hand tend to take things more slowly. They can be content if they’re just cruising along on a sunny day and there aren’t any opposition forces for them to overcome.
When it comes to career and business men are usually more interested than women in getting the job done whatever it takes. Women are often more concerned about working in a caring environment with people who treat them right and fair pay for their contributions. Men don’t understand this because they’re only worried about winning or losing as opposed to caring about being fair or kind in their dealings with others. To them, helping others is what life is all about and not just school teachers or social workers…
Men tend to be more confident than women and they are far more likely to stick up for themselves against other men that might be trying to bug them along or make them feel uncomfortable in any way. Men also tend to get closer with their friends faster and some of those friends might even become romantic partners. At least that’s the way it was for me.
Men usually treat animals as if they aren’t real and don’t see them as part of their lives, a difference that is noticeable even amongst pet owners who don’t share this point of view…
Women often worry about making waves at work and they’re more likely to go along with the program even if they don’t agree with what’s being said or done. Men, however, are usually very blunt about their opinions whether it be about politics, sports or some type of entertainment like a movie or a television show that’s not as good as it could have been.
Men like action and violence on the screen much more than women do. Women prefer to see something good happen instead of bad things happening all the time to people who don’t deserve it…
Men are far more prone to boredom than women are. Nothing is more boring to them than a long, drawn out movie or television show that barely ever has anything at all happening. Men tend to need a lot of stimulation in order to keep their minds from going numb which is why they’ll often enjoy comic books, science fiction and the like.
