The most exciting gadgets of 2021

From the UK leaving the EU in March to President Trump blocking Huawei from doing business in the US just in September, it was an interesting year for global politics and economics.

The most exciting gadgets of 2021 will probably cover many of these topics but more interestingly still, they’ll explore innovations across health care and personal data security.

It seems likely that we’ll soon see printers which can print working prosthetic limbs or even 3D-printed organs.

Here at anonymax.net/ has some more exciting gadgets of 2021.

What about self-driving cars? Depending on how things go with regards to natural disasters like Hurricane Florence, they may be more widely adopted than ever before too.

Let’s take a look at the most exciting gadgets of 2021.

1. 1.5D Display

Now this might sound like gobbledygook to most people, so let me explain what this means.

The most high-end smartphones have what are known as ‘edge-to-edge’ displays which fill almost the entire front of your device with an uninterrupted screen.

This is cool for watching videos, reading, gaming and using your smartphone in general. It’s really cool too. However, in 2021 Apple will release what is known as a 1.5D display.

Essentially they’ll have the same width for their displays but they’ll be half the height of current smartphones.

These will be awesome for gaming too with most games looking awesome on these devices with reduced screen glare.

2. Augmented Reality Glasses

Come 2021, I can’t see Apple competing with Google in the AR glasses market.

Don’t get me wrong, the Cupertino company is awesome when it comes to hardware innovation but I don’t think they can beat Google in this space.

However, its competitors won’t stop them from releasing their own AR glasses and so we should expect them to push out a version of these for general consumers by 2021.

I can’t see these having as many gaming applications as their Android-based competition so expect more applications geared towards the workplace and various medical applications.

3. Video Calling Smartphones

While Apple will release those AR glasses, they’ll also release a video calling smartphone. Remember FaceTime?

Well, it’s coming back but this time on your smartphone screen and without the need for an external camera on your computer or phone.

Of course, the iPhone isn’t just for Apple fans anymore and we’re seeing a huge growth in Android users too so it makes sense for them to explore video calling as an integral part of the smartphone experience.

They’ll introduce it on their 2020 iPhone and then improve upon it year after year. I love Apple and I love using their products but I don’t see them beating the likes of Google, Facebook or even Microsoft in this space.

4. Smartphone Camera Upgrades

In 2021 smartphones will be capable of producing images with a true-to-life quality currently only seen on high-end DSLR cameras.

In 2021 smartphones will produce images with 10 times the amount of light as they do today, meaning that you won’t need to use a flash nearly as often as you do today.

The cameras will also be able to produce images in the dark and night-time conditions. They’ll even be able to record videos with no visible light – just using the built-in sensors and such like.

5. Smartphone Data Loss Protection

In 2021 smartphones will protect your data whilst away from your smartphone.

If you’re away from home and your phone’s battery dies, it could mean losing all of your personal data in it unless you have a charger which can replace the main battery and keep it at 100% so you can continue to use music or apps etc.

This is something we’ve been seeing for a while in the smart home market but I’d expect them to bring this feature to consumer smartphones too in 2021.

6. Wearable Smart Watches

Wearable technology is coming into its own in the smartphone market and it’s only going to get bigger over the next few years.

Smartwatch sales will surge in 2021 with Apple planning on releasing their first truly smart watch – probably something like an Android Wear watch but with more interactive features.

With Google’s Android Wear system, apps are beginning to take off too, allowing you to do things like getting directions, make payments and order food.

There are great Apple Watch apps out there too – but Apple doesn’t currently allow iPhone app compatibility with their smart watches so that feature won’t be available to consumers until 2021 when Apple launches their new Watch 3 (or whatever it’s called).
