Learn about these facebook abbreviations

The acronym “FB” has been used for a long time and has found its way into the vocabulary of social media users today.

Nowadays, though, there are other acronyms that can be hard to figure out because they refer to Facebook’s features.

The acronyms listed in this article cover some of the most often used abbreviations on Facebook. If you’re not sure what an acronym means or how it works, make sure to read about them here!

The answer is discussed here about what does tbu mean on facebook?

To start off, “FB” stands for “Facebook”. This is obviously self-explanatory, but it also refers to the site’s employees who have access to your personal data and social network accounts.

These employees include the site’s developers, but they also include what are referred to as “product managers”. The product managers work with Facebook’s engineers to develop new features for the site.

“FBX” is another abbreviation for Facebook. It means “Facebook Exchange”, referring to Facebook’s platform where businesses can upload their business information and social network accounts.

This platform is also referred to as FBX Pages, which you can find on Facebook.com/pages/.

Here are some points discussed about the facebook abbreviations

1. FBL- Facebook Like Button.

Facebook’s Like button is called the “FBL”. It stands for “Facebook Like”.

2. FBS- Facebook Post Box.

If you need to create a post on the site, you can either use the web interface or go to this link and upload it directly through your mobile phone.

3. FBX- Facebook Exchange Platform.

This is another abbreviation for Facebook that denotes what we just discussed above, FBX Page/Post Box.

4. MFB- Major functions block or Ads Manager.

This is a function block provided by Facebook’s Ads Manager. There are four different subdivisions of it: Campaign, Ad Set, Ad and Ad.

5. SMB- Social Media button

This is a box that can be found at the top right of any Facebook page. It contains the FBL which you can use to share pages with your friends and family members on Facebook, Twitter and Google+.

It also contains other social media buttons which give access to other social networks like Pinterest, Google+, LinkedIn and so forth. This block can be found on computer screens but also on mobile phones when you log in through the mobile app for Facebook.

6. FBML- Facebook Markup Language

This is a programming language that was developed just for Facebook and its applications. It can be used to create apps and pages on the site and has its own codes that you can use to color grade your content.

7. WiFi- Word of WiFi

This abbreviation stands for what you think it does: “WiFi”. If you need to find out which connection is the fastest one, the high speed connection will be labeled as “WiFi” whereas the others will be labeled as “WiMax”, “LAN”, etc.

8. F3- Facebook debugger or Error Find.

If you’re having an issue with Facebook and something is not functioning correctly, or if there is a bug that you can’t figure out, this is the button to use.

F3 will bring up Facebook’s developer tools and it will display the error for you to easily see what the problem is.

9. F4- Facebook friends list or Viewer View.

This means “view” in reference to seeing the friend list which contains all of your friends’ details like their names and profile pictures, their latest actions and what content they’ve shared on your wall and timeline.

Aside from that, it also shows who has liked or commented on your posts while you’re logged in to Facebook.

10. RFM- Relationship Finder or Relationship Manager.

If you want to view and manage your friends and family members on the site, you can use this feature.

It shows your friends and who you’re connected to in a circle of people on the site. This is also referred to as the “RFM” button which stands for relationship finder or relationship manager.

11. F5- Facebook refresh or Refresh button.

This is just a normal refresh button which you can use to clear your cache so that the site loads faster.

12. F6- Facebook Share or Share button.

This is also a simple “share” button that allows you to share the status of your page, post, photo, comment, etc., with your friends on other social networks like Twitter and Google+. This feature works by using the “FBL” button that we discussed earlier in this article.

Conclusion:

These were some of the most frequently used abbreviations for Facebook, both ones that users can make sense of and ones that are used by Facebook’s employees themselves to communicate with each other about their work product. Hopefully this article has been helpful in understanding better what they mean!
