As well as looking stylish and feeling comfortable in our clothes, many of us would love to add a bit of colour to our outfits. The only problem is the colours in style can change so often that it can be hard to keep up with the latest trends. Here’s a look at some of the easiest ways you can add some colour to any outfit.
Start with the shoes
The main problem with buying something new to wear is that whilst it might have cost you a lot of money, you won’t want to wear it every single day. As well as needing to put something like a shirt or jeans in the wash regularly, you might start getting some funny looks if you turn up to every social occasion wearing the exact same outfit. Luckily, this doesn’t have to be the case for all clothes. For example, if you buy a new set of sneakers, you can wear them again and again with almost any outfit. When you need to clean them, a lot of the time you can simply give them a quick wipe down and they’ll be ready to wear again almost instantly.
You can shop from a wide range of streetwear online in a range of different styles, sizes and most importantly colours. Once you’ve picked out your new set of sneakers, make sure they’re looking their best at all times. Try and wear some socks that don’t clash with the colours of your sneakers but instead complement the whole look. If you don’t want socks to affect your style, consider instead buying a pair of sneaker socks that don’t appear out of the top of the sneaker. Make sure you maintain the shoes regularly with the many specialist products out on the market to make sure the colour stays as bright as possible for as long as possible.
Add some other accessories
As well as sneakers, there are lots of other accessories you can wear time and time again. For example, consider buying some brightly coloured jewellery or even a watch to help add a bit of colour to your outfit. If you own a smartwatch, most models will even allow you to change the colour of your straps to complement whatever outfit you’re wearing it with. If you don’t like wearing jewellery, consider buying things like scarves, hats or even a colourful facemask to add some extra style to your outfit.
Consider changing your own look
As well as adding colour with your clothes, you could also add colour by changing your own appearance. For example, instead of going for the most common pallets of pinks and reds when doing your make-up, consider adding some different, brighter and more vibrant colours to your face.
Whether it’s eyeshadow or a bold coloured lipstick, there are lots of ways you can add a pop of stylish colour to even the dullest of outfits. You could even consider dying your hair a different colour. Whatever it is, try to choose colours that will complement most of the fashion items you already own.
