9 Things Everyone Knows About HEALTH HABITS That You Don’t

It’s Monday morning, the first text message pops into your phone from one of your more over-involved friends. Apparently you have been too busy to reply to her last few messages and she has kindly reminded you that you are not living up to your potential.

This week is going to be rough, and it’s only day 1. You’re already running late for work with a pile of dishes in the sink, you had a late night out last night that went over by 2 hours, and now this latest onslaught of shaming messages like convey health solutions decatur il.

9 things everyone knew but you didn’t:

1. Skipping breakfast is a bad idea

You skip breakfast and while you are in the office you get hungry, naturally. You feel as if your body is trying to tell you something so you force yourself to go to the cafeteria and grab a slice of plain toast for $4.50 (I’m Australian).

The after effects you have to endure from this one slice of toast are:

a) You’re up half an hour earlier than usual because your body is raging with hunger and wants more food right now.

b) All that skipping breakfast has made your body sluggish, so you don’t feel like exercising today.

b) All that skipping breakfast has made your body sluggish, so you don’t feel like exercising today.

c) You have a terrible headache as you head home for lunch.

2. Forcing yourself to exercise is a waste of time

In the past, I found it very difficult to keep up with my exercising schedule. I hated going to the gym and hated doing any sort of cardio training, so naturally I just ended up not doing it at all in fear of the feelings that I was going through.

But recently, I have noticed it has gotten so much easier and completely painless which means that now I actually really enjoy working out. What I have found is that you have to make sure that you have something to work towards. You need goals, and then rewards for achieving those goals.

If you don’t have anything to work towards, the activity itself will be futile and will lead nowhere.  This means once a week I will go for a run and then reward myself with a piece of chocolate at the end of it all.

3. You don’t love yourself enough

I’ve always been insecure about my body and what it looks like so I tended to stay away from wearing revealing clothing. This was not only because I was insecure about my body, but I felt as if I didn’t want to show people that I’m going through a rough time with feelings of self-worth and confidence.

4. Putting off things always makes them harder later on

Whenever I have put things off, I have always regretted it, especially at the end of the day when I have to face the fact that I’ve wasted time doing nothing.

5. You don’t need an expensive gym membership in order to be fit and healthy

These days it’s all about home workouts. There are so many videos online that will help you workout at home and they cater to any level of fitness, whether that is a beginner or an expert looking for a new challenge. All you need is a set of dumbbells and a space big enough to run around in.

6. It’s okay to be a little out of shape

It’s okay that you are not up on top of your fitness game. It will catch up to you one day and you will feel it but as long as your heart is in the right place, nothing can stop you from getting back into shape.

7. Keeping a happy face will help you in the long run

When I go about my day, I always put on a smile because it actually makes me feel better when I’m out and about in my daily activities. If I look angry or annoyed, it’s not going to bring me positivity so why put myself through that?

8. You should tell someone you love them

I always seem to forget this one and this is probably due to my over-protective nature. It’s only a small comment, but it might make a huge difference in somebody’s life and could be the best thing you’ve ever said.

9. Just because somebody is skinny, doesn’t mean that they’re healthy

I have had so many friends in the past who would go to the gym each and every day and attempt to eat just fruits and vegetables. They would do this in an attempt to look like some of the better looking people around but it didn’t really get them anywhere. Some thought that just because they are skinny, they are healthy, but it’s not true.

Conclusion:

We all know that it’s very easy to get caught up in the day-to-day routines that we have. Sometimes we just don’t want to think about doing things differently, but believe me it is worth it.

We cannot expect sympathy for ourselves when we don’t acknowledge our own feelings and do nothing about them.It is only when you notice how you feel that you will appreciate what you have, rather than what you don’t have.

When people are down on themselves or not feeling positive, they usually tend to become tired of life and this can affect their entire day in a big way. It’s important to not just focus on your body weight but also how your body looks and feels inside. Are you happy? If not, then you need to put yourself first.
