The Alchemist Code tier list is divided into 5 tiers, each of which represents the card’s potential in competitive matches. This list does not factor in skill level or rarity, which are two major contributing factors that affect how effective a card is in-game.
The Alchemist Code tier list only takes into account player skill and card statistics. For more information on how this works, kindly refer to this article.

1. List does not account for how effective cards are in general.
Many people see these kinds of power rankings as a good indicator of a card’s strength, the truth is that the only cards that will ever reach their full potential in a competitive environment are highly skilled ones.
For example, Wizard is a high level monster but its efficiency is mostly determined by player skill and card statistics.
What this means is that you can think of The Alchemist Code tier list as having no knowledge about the overall strength of each card.
You will be able to use this list to understand the strength of your cards, but you won’t be able to use this list to understand the strength of other people’s cards.
2. You need to earn your way into tier 1 using replays.
If you want an idea on how strong your card is, you’ll need to play it many times and record data about it.
That said, not all cards are created equal, so not all cards will be able to become the best ones in the game.
The Alchemist Code tier list tells you which card is most efficient at its role, not which card is most optimal for overall use in high level matches.
3. Cards at the top are more consistent than cards at the bottom.
The Alchemist Code tier list is divided into 5 tiers with each tier representing a level of consistency with the top tier being most consistent and the bottom being less consistent.
This means that cards in each tier will have different values depending on which other cards they are paired up with, but as you go down the list, those values will reduce as you approach the bottom.
Also, this will differ depending on what deck you’re playing as there’s many ways to build a deck and many different styles of play that come into play when using different decks.
4. List is intended to be used as a knowledge tool, not to copy verbatim.
The truth is that the Alchemist Code tier list is just one of many ways to rank cards and that you should use your own judgment when calculating the strength of a particular card.
That said, we want you to understand why we came up with these ranks and we’d like for you to understand and trust our methodologies.
Any ranking system will only be as good as its information and this list will always be evolving with new perspectives on card statistics coming in.
5. The Alchemist Code tier list is updated monthly.
The Alchemist Code tier list is updated once a month on the 27th. Because of this, cards may move up or down the list by more than one tier depending on recent changes to card statistics.
6. We do not intend to share our data with anyone at any point.
This list is already very detailed and breaking down exactly how strong each card is without replays would compromise our integrity as a company.
That said, we are open to sharing the raw data that led to these ranks if you are willing to use it in your own power rankings system.
7. Do not copy the data from this table.

The Alchemist Code tier list uses a formula that factors in card statistics and player skill level with regards to cards from popular digital CCG titles.
It does not take card rarity into account because it is a secondary factor that heavily affects each card’s power.
This means that if your deck includes a lot of uncommon cards, they will have their efficiency reduced even though they have high statistics because of their low frequency.
