From $0 to $200,000 in 12 months: the truth about solo growth

This is one of the most common questions with regards to creating your own websites. Many people will say that they need thousands of visitors especially if they’re talking about making money online.

Macl Edge has some more information about the truth about solo growth.

This is simply not true, and I can tell you exactly how I created my first site for $200,000 in 12 months.

I was working as a graphic designer in Australia when I felt like it was time to make the move into something new.

Here are some points discussed the truth about solo growth

1. Long-term planning

There is no great way to make money online if you are not willing to plan ahead.

The free keywords tool on Google is a great place to get started, but you need to know what you are doing when it comes to SEO.

This includes determining which keywords your website will focus on, how often your website will be updated, and the type of content that will be on it.

When I first started making money online I was working quite hard for around 10 hours per week.

There was no way that I could sustain this unless I found a way of creating passive income for this time so that I could work less hours on my new business.

2. Focusing on the right niche

One of the first things that I did was to create a blog, which was focused on how to create websites for under $100.

This allowed me to start building my knowledge base, and it highlighted to me where I should focus my time at this stage.

This is not just about your blog, but also other marketing sites that you may be able to promote. You need to focus on what is working at this point in time, and see what areas need improving.

A great example of this is the comments section.

If people are leaving comments on your blog all the time then you must probably be doing something wrong with it if they are not. The idea is to keep working on your blog until you can stop getting comments.

3. Identifying the right methods

The next thing that I did was to start looking for traffic methods that would allow me to get visitors consistently to my blog.

It was important for me to use ways that were 100% free, and I wanted visitors who were interested in what I was writing about.

The best way of doing this is by using forums, but this can be hard work if you are not prepared for it.

There are plenty of resources online that can help you get started, and you simply need to find the ones that work best for your niche.

The earlier you start using these methods the more success you will have. If you are just starting out then this is a good time to begin with the free methods to see what works best for your niche.

4. Marketing your niche site

I guessed right that I would have to promote my website, and the easiest thing for me to do was to work with other people in my niche.

I made sure that I was helping other people by getting them started on their blogs as well.

This proved to be extremely successful for me, because even though I was only making around $50 per month from it, it allowed me to expand my online business very quickly.

This was because I had a large follower base and was able to sell advertising on other people’s sites using my blog as a platform.

I built up traffic to my site, and this allowed me to create more and more revenue from it.

5. Working out which methods work for you

This is the time when you should be focusing on the free methods that you were recommended for promoting your site.

This means that you should be keeping an eye out for those that are giving value back, but keep in mind that there could be some tricks here as well.

This can be hard work, but if done effectively then you should begin making money within a short period of time.

6. Finding the right niche site for your business

At this point in time I knew which methods were working best for me, so it was time to focus on the content that I was creating.

I created an article about how to build a website for under $50, and this proved to be extremely popular.

I had only spent around $20 on keyword research back then so it proved to be very effective and cost effective.

This is what you need to do at the beginning, and keep looking at your statistics regularly so that you know what is working and what isn’t.
