Get back in the blogging game!

It’s been a while since you wrote anything for your blog. This is nothing to be ashamed of, writer’s block happens to the best of us but it can’t last forever.

It can feel like you’ve lost your mojo and it seems like everything is so much easier when there’s no pressure on you: after all, nobody expects anything from you when there isn’t any content coming out of your keyboard.

But if we know one thing from experience, it’s that once that first hurdle has been smashed through, everything else becomes much easier.

Even if you’ve written other blogs, or other work, or other websites, or anything else for that matter, there’s always something that you can gain from writing again. The wait is over now because, im bringing blogging back.

Here are some points discussed to Get back in the blogging game-

1. You’ll be writing again, and that’s a good thing:

Even if you don’t think so because you’ve been away from it for so long, actually typing words has many benefits: for starters, we know that it takes your brain about 30 minutes of writing to figure out that words are coming out.

Just like any other muscle in your body, the more you use it the stronger it gets. Even if you’re not an amazing writer now, just by starting to write again you’re going to find yourself getting better and better as time goes on.

The longer you’ve been away from blogging or writing in general the easier it can be to start: after all, there’s no pressure.

2. You’re about to learn lots of new things:

Most blogging is all about the research.

If you’ve not been studying, watching videos, reading books or writing anything, there’s a lot that you might have missed.

So now is the time to catch up on all of those things!

Maybe you didn’t know how to do SEO properly before?

Now is your chance to learn. Maybe you don’t know how to make money from your blog? Now is the time to find out! Read this article on How bloggers can use Twitter for promotion .

You might be surprised how much information there is out there which you didn’t even know existed.

3. You’ll probably be getting better at writing:

Now is the time to get really good at writing.

You might not believe it, but you will work out your writing muscles.

It’s like running a mile for the first time: you might think that you’re gonna take two minutes, but after doing it about ten times, then twenty, then fifty, then one hundred, you’ll be taking 9 minutes that first time.

If your blog is about something that you love (for example if I was blogging about travel I would want to make sure I’m doing this justice) there’s nothing quite like putting pen to paper and having no fear of making mistakes.

4. You’ll be able to get your writing out of your head and onto paper:

For some people this is an absolute must. If you’re not using the power of writing to release thoughts, then how can you be sure that what’s in your head is what you’re really thinking?

Just like taking notes in class might seem like a chore at the time but actually fit perfectly into your revision timetable.

5. You’ll get to know what you’re good at and where you need to improve:

Were you ever told that you should go onto the course in the summer because it will be harder? But after doing so, were you happy with your grades?

Well maybe it’s time to finish off your blog so that when it finally does come time for revision, you can see where all of your strengths are.

If you’re not good at writing original topics then find out what topics other bloggers are covering well.

What pieces of advice do they give their readers that really work? Make sure that these pieces of advice are incorporated into your own blogs.

6. You’ll be able to find out if your blog is still relevant.

Now you’re going to get an idea of what people are interested in reading about.

If you’ve decided to do a blog about baking cakes, maybe someone has come up with a new recipe which you need to incorporate into your blog.

Don’t be afraid if it’s not turning out well, maybe social networks are where it’s at for you.
