Must buy these before a recession.

Sometimes, reports of a coming recession are so convincing that many people are stockpiling food and water, or buying gold or other hard assets.

On the other hand, some people feel that the warnings about recession are overblown. Still others believe that any advice should be balanced with what they know about their own financial situation.

The answer is discussed here about “what to buy before a recession?”

Check out our list to see what you should buy before a recession to make sure you’re not caught unprepared!

We’ve included everything from pet supplies to cigars, so hopefully there’s something for everybody on this list! We also update this page with new items as needed.

Here are some points discussed about to buy these before a recession-

1. Pet Food for Preparedness

Pet food is one of the items that can help you prepare for a possible economic downturn. Whether your pet is a puppy, kitten, or cat, it’s important for them to have plenty of quality pet food on hand.

Cats are especially picky eaters that might not want anything else but their cat food. Pet food will also help you distinguish between treats and meals to make sure your pets don’t get hungry when you are trying to save money during a financial crisis.

This is especially critical for cats, who can quickly get fat during stressful times.

2. Water Storage

A lot of people overlook how important water is to survival. Many people don’t realize that human bodies can only last 3-5 days without water, but less than three days without food.

While some foods contain a lot of water, there isn’t enough to sustain life on its own. This is especially true during hot summers or in dry climates.

Having a way to store water for a possible emergency can really help keep you and your family hydrated without having to rely on potentially dangerous sources of water.

3. Nonperishable Food

While there are a lot of canned foods that contain water, some emergency situations may leave you without electricity for an extended period of time.

If the power goes out, it’s not as easy as just leaving a can on a counter or in a cupboard. In addition, canned food will only last for so long before it spoils and an entire shelf full of canned food can go bad if the temperature is too hot or too cold.

Overdosing on sodium might also be more dangerous than no food at all if you have a hard time regulating your blood pressure under stress.

4. Water Filter

Water filters are something that everyone should have on hand if you’re trying to prepare for a possible economic downturn.

Water can kill you if it has an iron or other harmful substance in it that is not filtered out. Not only is this bad for pets, but it can be bad for people as well. That’s why having some water filters on hand is so important.

You may not be able to drink the water without them, but at least you will be safe drinking the water after they’ve helped make it safe first.

5. Non Perishable Food Storage

While storing up food is part of any good prepper’s plan, you need to make sure that the food you buy doesn’t go bad before you get to use it.

This means looking for ways to store non perishable food and supplies like rice and beans without having to refrigerate them.

While some foods will only take a few days or even a week or two before they start going bad, others will last for years without losing their taste or nutritional value. You should always take the container’s best if used by date into account, however. If it says not to use after March 2020, then don’t!

6. Charcoal or Wood

Charcoal and wood can both last a long time if you use them properly. While charcoal is meant for grilling, both charcoal and wood can be used to get a fire started when you get cold at night.

If the power goes out during the winter, then you’re going to need some kind of heat source to get through the night. It’s hard to say how long a fire will burn with just a few pieces of coal or wood in the dryer, but these items are cheap in price and stores usually have plenty available in their stores.

7. Matches or Lighters

You can go through a lot of gas lighting a fire during winter, so it’s important to find an alternative way to get the fire you need to stay comfortable.

Matches and lighters are great for making sure that you can get everything ready in your fireplace or woodstove without having to worry about the weather getting in the way.
