Seven Things Nobody Told You About Rain Man Suite

Five legends and a conspiracy, there is no denying the Rain man suite has captured the imagination and respect of many people. One day in April 1966 five strangers arrived at JFK International Airport, only for four of them to be detained by the average customs official. It would be six more years before they were found out and eventually reunited with their families. The men’s mysterious story continues today, twenty five years later, even with five dead demigods scattered across the globe – including one that nearly destroyed civilization as we know it in China

Rain man suite is a true story of five ordinary men who performed extraordinary acts under extraordinary circumstances. Brother Bernie and Amos loved to play “Rain Man”, but they were given no expectation and perhaps no chance. Many detractors, uninformed or intimidated by the legends, find great fault in the “Rain Man” suite, yet they are missing a key element: these men were in fact, performing Rain Man.

Seven Things Nobody Told You About Rain Man Suite :

1. Rain Man was the first game in the world to be played by 5 people simultaneously.

Forty years before the suicide of Rain Man’s creator, one man – John McPherson – had a dream. He wanted to create a game that nobody in the world had seen before; something that would pave the way for other great games like it. While most games were typically played as single player, John created Rain Man to be played with four other players simultaneously. This was no small feat; before his creation there was never a game of this complexity and he certainly did not have time to build it himself.

2. Rain Man Suite was a commercial success, breaking the $100 million ceiling for four decades.

Unlike many great games, Rain Man was released at a time when video games were not played professionally. So the creators of Rain Man were in for a surprise – not only were people playing their game for money, but there were people who had put up insane amounts of bets against it. The Crocketts and Kansass had taken to gambling against one another under their aliases “Rafa” and “Kaweh”, while every other day making thousands of dollars on the professional scene by playing Rain Man. All this while they tell you to grow up and get a real job!

3. Rain Man was the first video game to have its own Hollywood movie.

Rain Man won the Crockett and Kansas millions of dollars, yet they were being portrayed as gamblers in movies. These were just a few of many hilarious plots that followed Rain Man as it made its way into pop culture. As the news broke, America watched with awe as John McPherson grew to be one of the most famous men on earth.

4. The Rain Man Suite came at a time when video gaming was still new and undeveloped.

The creation of Rain Man took place in the 60s; when computer technology was still at its infancy, but not so much that it could not be expanded upon. If you are skeptical of the possibility of the Rain Man Suite, consider this: The makers of the first line of gaming consoles used 8-bit processors. And what is a processor? That’s right, it’s a smaller version of a computer.

5. Rain Man was able to identify and defeat anybody playing against it in less than 1 year.

Rain Man was able to see every move an opponent would make and analyze to be able to counter them effectively; at times within seconds! It was telepathic, so much that it could play on John McPherson’s mind before he even made his move.

6. Rain Man was the first game of its kind to ever officially win a chess match against a grandmaster.

One of the best players at chess during the time of Rain Man’s creation was Mikhail Tal. He is still considered one of the greatest chess players in history, but he never knew it because he played against Rain Man that time too. It would have been one of his greatest victories, if not for one simple mistake that the code had. A mistake that most grandmasters would never make, but Rain Man saw – and won.

7. The makers of the Rain Man Suite are on the run from the FBI and Interpol.

The FBI says that they believe two former members of Crockett, Kansass are responsible for the crime, while Interpol believes one of those men is involved in new terrorist activity in China. The organizers of a charity event to honor Rain Man have been found murdered; and money raised for this event has been stolen by a group called “THEY”. It’s up to you and your friends to find out what is going on; which game shall you play next? …And then it will be time to play.
